Anyone come up with a new name for me?

So today, I inspired someone to knit. 

Yes, read it again. I hope that statement does something for you knitters out there, something that says that you are proud to be a knitter, that you rejoice when someone else picks up a pair of needles and casts on their first square. That you know that we are carrying on a legacy of men and women who will continue to do something, not for the gratification, but for the enjoyment of it. 

Today, I am amazed. I am sitting here, Thor's insanely complex scarf in my lap half finished, and I know that because I am a knitter, the world is a better place. I inspired someone to do something creative, making knots out of yarn that become a piece of fabric. 

This, loveys, is the truth that we all seek. This, is heaven. 

Hey here is what I made for my Stich my squares for January.. and thats about all i knitted, besides adding a crapload of length to everyone else stuff that are WIPs...

Ok, so last post, I said I was 50% done with my Mars armwarmers. Well not really, as I was waiting to cast off until I had decent light, and I just sorta.. kept knitting. SO- Now I am halfway through MY Mars scarf, about halfway through Thors Xmas scarf (God I hope the colour is right) and besides that, I have been sewing constatnly. And I know, "Anna you are NOT meant to be a sewer, you are MEANT TO BE A KNITTER!" But but but, I cant help but sew, seen as how I just quit my job of selling sewing machines.

Anyways, I am home sick this weekend, so I figured I would knit. Now does anyone have a digital camera I could borrow so I can take pictures? XDDD

Well. Two Charity hats are DONE, and my Mars armwarmers are 50% complete. And wow. I suck at Intarsia. Will post pictures when I am through blocking and seaming. I have about 3 hours of seaming left to do. Ugh. I need those little progress bars to show what I am currently working on so that I dont have to keep going through this everytime.. Will find more!

Ok so some of you know that Rabbitch is doing the Hats for Vancouver (Canada, not washington!) project. There are some cool prizes and such! Its cool.. so Im of course involved.. yep! XDD I love it. The hat pattern Im using the most would be "Tychus" from Knitty (of course.. would you expect anything else?) Anyways I have some projects done, and will post pictures of course, but in the mean time, I have a to do list!

Ok.. so about a month ago, I posted about the random fandom knits that I am making. Well, so far, I have made a 30 Seconds to Mars hat (which I PROMISE I will get pictures of when I finish it off completly!) and a Gogol Bordello hat. I am also working on scarves, bags, and other fun stuff for other bands (see last post!) If you would like to commission or order something.. let me know!

Shes back and I still havent finished the hat... or anything else for that matter. I dont think I have actually knitted since school let out.. ouch..

Eluned leaves tommorrow- well today.. as it is almost 3 AM. THe hat is no where near being finished.

SO! The brim to Heather's hat is almost done. At the moment, it is blocking (will upload pictures later as photobucket isnt loading again) and will be sewn together as soon as it is dry.

I even went as far as to copy out the directions for the next part of the hat, so that I dont have to get back online at 2 am. *sighs*

Ok.. so i finished the cable. Now do i block it before I matress stitch it together or what? I need to know so i can start knitting it normally

well fuck it all.. the hat isnt getting finished.. and i dont give a shit.

Ok so I have 10 repeats done on the cable- so I figured I would picspam and show off my awesome skills.

mmk.. well I had to completly augment my pattern.. I'll post my changes later.. along with pictures (about 12 am tonight) and yeah... its coming out ok. The cable doesn't have a border, so it looks a little wonky. I hope she still likes it after I completly mess it up Otherwise- I just did a standard? casting on and then completly just rewrote the freaking pattern. I tried it 6 times and on the first cable-ing row and ended up with 2 extra stitches. So finally I got back online to look at the pattern, only to find out that I copied it down wrong- THIS is where I lost my mind changed the pattern to normal stockinette stitch, which, in turn, took out the bordering on the damn cable. ugh... i love the damn hat itself, and I think Heather'll like it but wow.. it just hates me.

OK- so apparently I emailed someone and told them I was making a Dulaan blanket for the ever prestigious Dulaan Project. The Problem: I have NO clue where I happened to put my project. So not only is it MIA, its only about 4 inches into a full knitted blanket. Here is where I run screaming away from the computer and never talk to Stephanie again politely email Stepahnie and tell her the truth that due to circumstances out of my control (meaning finals and AP classes and bloody baseball murals) that I am unable to submit a Dulaan Project item ths year.

I started casting on Heathers hat.. and for some unknown reason, I am currently uncapable of cabeling. I think I have lost my skills above garter stitch- seriously. Once you dont knit a complicated project for a few months and just focus on garter stitch scarves and then automatically try to cable again, I think that your bran has something that automatically tells your hands that YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED TO KNIT ANYTHING ABOVE GARTER STITCH UNLESS YOU GO BACK TO LEARNING IT ALL OVER AGAIN- even if you have been cabeling for over 3 years like me...
